GTA San Andreas Mission 19: Burning Desire Walkthrough
GTA San Andreas Mission 19, “Burning Desire,” is one of the most intense and memorable missions in the early part of the game. This mission is given to Carl “CJ” Johnson by the corrupt Los Santos police officers, mainly Officer Tenpenny and his team. The mission combines action, destruction, and an unexpected rescue sequence that makes it stand out from many other GTA San Andreas missions.
The mission starts when CJ meets the officers at a restaurant. Tenpenny gives CJ another dangerous task and orders him to destroy a gang-controlled apartment building. Before starting the attack, CJ must first collect Molotov cocktails hidden in an alleyway in Downtown Los Santos. These Molotovs are the main weapons used to set the apartment on fire.
After picking up the Molotov cocktails, CJ heads toward Grove Street near the railway tracks where the target apartment is located. The area is controlled by enemy gang members, so players should stay alert while approaching the building. Once CJ reaches the apartment, he starts throwing Molotov cocktails through the windows to spread fire throughout the entire building.
As the flames grow larger, the mission suddenly changes direction. CJ discovers that a girl is trapped inside the burning apartment building. Instead of escaping, CJ decides to go inside the dangerous fire and rescue her before the building collapses. This part of the mission becomes very challenging because smoke blocks visibility and the fire spreads quickly through the rooms and hallways.
Inside the apartment, players must carefully move through burning furniture, blocked passages, and collapsing debris. CJ also finds a fire extinguisher that can be used to clear flames blocking the path. Timing is very important because the building becomes more dangerous every second.
After successfully finding the trapped girl, CJ escorts her safely outside before the apartment completely burns down. Once both of them escape, the mission is not over yet. CJ must then drive the girl back to her house safely while avoiding damage and staying away from enemies on the road.
The “Burning Desire” mission is special because it mixes action with a rescue mission and introduces an important character connection for CJ later in the game. The fire effects, explosions, and dramatic atmosphere make this mission one of the most exciting missions in GTA San Andreas.
