Modern Combat 5 Gilman HQ: Spec Ops Sniping 2 Stars Walkthrough (2026)

Modern Combat 5 Blackout – Campaign 6 Gilman HQ: Spec Ops Part 2 Sniping

Complete Modern Combat 5 Gilman HQ sniping walkthrough. Earn 2 stars on MC5 Spec Ops Part 2 with 50% accuracy, 4 headshots + best sniper loadout tips (2026).

Modern Combat 5 Blackout Campaign 6 Gilman HQ Spec Ops Part 2 Sniping Complete Walkthrough Guide with 2 Star Strategy and Best Sniper Loadout Recommendations for 2026

Modern Combat 5 Blackout remains one of the most celebrated mobile first-person shooter games since its release in 2014 by developer Gameloft Bucharest and publisher Gameloft. The game represents the fifth installment in the legendary Modern Combat series and serves as the sequel to Modern Combat 4 Zero Hour. Players around the world continue to engage with Modern Combat 5 Blackout in 2026 searching for comprehensive walkthrough guides especially for challenging missions like the Gilman HQ Spec Ops sniping mission in Campaign 6 Part 2. This complete guide covers everything you need to know about completing the sniping mission with 2  stars including detailed strategy recommendations weapon loadout suggestions scope selection advice and accuracy tips that will guarantee mission success.

The sniping mission in Modern Combat 5 Blackout Campaign 6 Gilman HQ Spec Ops Part 2 presents specific objectives that must be completed to earn 2 stars on the mission. Your primary mission objectives include covering your team members throughout the engagement maintaining 60% shot accuracy across all your fired shots and scoring exactly 4 headshots to eliminate priority enemy targets. These objectives work together to create one of the more challenging sniping missions in the entire Modern Combat 5 Blackout campaign structure. Many players attempt this mission multiple times before achieving 3-star completion because maintaining 60% accuracy while under pressure from enemy fire requires both skill and strategic planning.

For the best results in this Modern Combat 5 Gilman HQ sniping mission you need to select the optimal sniper weapon loadout. The RS sniper rifle stands out as the top choice for this mission due to its excellent damage output balanced recoil pattern and compatibility with high-magnification scopes. When equipped with the 6x zoom scope the RS sniper rifle provides perfect long-range target acquisition while maintaining enough stability for accurate follow-up shots. Alternatively the Samurai scope offers a different zoom level that some players prefer for medium-range engagements where targets appear at varying distances throughout the mission. The key is finding the scope that matches your personal sniping style and practicing with it until you develop muscle memory for shot placement.

Armor and mask selection plays a critical role in Modern Combat 5 sniping mission success. The Seth armor provides superior protection against incoming enemy fire allowing you to survive longer exposures when repositioning between sniping locations. Pairing Seth armor with the Death in the Bag mask creates an optimal defensive combination because the mask keeps your position invisible on enemy radar giving you additional seconds to line up precise shots without immediate retaliation. This invisibility advantage is particularly valuable in the Gilman HQ location where enemy positions are numerous and coordinated attacks can quickly overwhelm unprepared players.

The fundamental rule for success in Modern Combat 5 Blackout sniping missions is avoiding no-scope shots at all costs. No-scoping might feel satisfying when you land a hit but it completely destroys your accuracy percentage making 60% accuracy requirement impossible to achieve. You must always use your scope and take controlled deliberate shots at every enemy target throughout the mission. The controlled bullet mechanic in Modern Combat 5 means that timing your shot release matters significantly for accuracy so practice breathing control and shot timing in training modes before attempting Gilman HQ again.

The Gilman HQ location in Modern Combat 5 Campaign 6 features three main sniping positions that you will utilize throughout the mission. Your first position starts in the initial area where you establish your first ambush point and eliminate early wave enemies while your team advances. This starting position requires careful positioning behind cover and patience as you wait for enemy targets to appear in your scope view. The second position represents your main sniping spot and offers the best overall view of enemy movements across the battlefield. From this location you can engage multiple targets simultaneously and maintain the accuracy needed for 3-star completion. The third and final position is the final cover location where you complete remaining mission objectives and secure the 4 headshots required for success.

Practice mode serves as an essential preparation tool for Modern Combat 5 sniping missions. The Boosted 3 for All mode allows you to practice sniper mechanics without mission pressure helping you develop the skills needed for Gilman HQ success. This training mode helps you understand different sniper weapon recoil patterns scope settings target acquisition speeds and shot timing mechanics. Players who practice in Boosted mode before attempting Gilman HQ sniping mission demonstrate significantly higher success rates and achieve 2-star completion faster than those who attempt the mission without preparation.

Modern Combat 5 Blackout features multiple geographic locations beyond Gilman HQ including Venice Rinnoji Temple Downtown San Marco and Ryogoku. Each location contains unique missions with different objectives and challenges testing various player skills from close-quarters combat to long-range sniping tactical positioning to aggressive assault strategies. The Spec Ops mode in Modern Combat 5 provides additional challenging missions beyond the main campaign featuring various mission types including sniping Assault Breach Defend and Assassinate missions distributed across all locations. Mastering Modern Combat 5 sniping requires comprehensive understanding of weapon statistics scope mechanics movement patterns enemy AI behavior and mission objectives all of which this guide addresses specifically for Gilman HQ.

If you have made it past the lobby infiltration in Modern Combat 5 Blackout only to find yourself stuck inside the red lit server rooms of the Gilman Security Tower, you are not alone. Mission 6, specifically the second half known as Gilman HQ Part 2, is where the campaign difficulty spikes dramatically. The narrow corridors, the relentless drone swarms during the elevator ascent, and the emotional weight of losing a squadmate all combine to create one of the most challenging levels in the entire Gameloft title. This assistance guide is written specifically to help you clear this mission on any difficulty, collect every bonus objective, and unlock Chapter 7 without wasting your precious energy refills. Forget the trial and error. Let me walk you through every corner, every enemy spawn point, and every hidden armor pickup so you can finish Gilman HQ Part 2 like a veteran operator.

Understanding the Importance of Gilman HQ Part 2 in the Modern Combat 5 Storyline.

Before diving into the tactical breakdown, it is essential to understand why this mission matters in the larger context of Modern Combat 5 Blackout. Following the devastating events in Venice, your squad consisting of Phoenix, Tukura, and Hawk is dispatched by Roux to infiltrate the Gilman Security headquarters located in the heart of Tokyo. The objective is simple in theory but brutal in execution. You must retrieve digital evidence that directly links Saunders and the Gilman Corporation to the World Liberation Army's terrorist activities. Part 1 of this mission dealt with the ground floor security and the initial breach. Part 2, however, takes you into the restricted data centers, the secure server hubs, and ultimately the external elevator that runs along the skyscraper's glass facade. This is not a simple run and gun level. This is a test of your cover mechanics, your ammo management, and your ability to prioritize high value targets under extreme pressure. Failure here means restarting the entire mission sequence, which can cost you anywhere from fifteen to twenty five minutes of progress.

Full Tactical Walkthrough of the Server Room Breach Section

The second half of Gilman HQ Part 2 begins immediately after you descend into the data hub. You will notice the lighting changes from the sterile white of the corporate lobby to a hostile, pulsating red hue. This visual cue is your warning that elite Gilman security forces are nearby. As the cutscene fades, you will find yourself standing at the entrance of a large rectangular server room. Do not rush forward. The worst mistake you can make in this section is sprinting toward the central aisle because that exposes you to crossfire from two elevated balconies and a ground level heavy gunner.

Instead, immediately take cover behind the first server rack on your left hand side. Peek around the corner slowly. You will see three distinct enemy types in this room. The first are standard riflemen who carry assault rifles and will attempt to flank you through the side corridors. The second is a heavily armored soldier wielding a shotgun who patrols the ground floor near the red terminals. The third and most dangerous is a heavy gunner positioned on the upper balcony to your right. This heavy gunner has a mounted light machine gun and can suppress your entire position if you do not eliminate him quickly.

Your priority target is the heavy gunner on the balcony. If you are playing the Sniper class, this is your moment to shine. Aim for his exposed head or the ammunition pack on his back. A single well placed sniper round will drop him instantly. If you are using the Assault or Bounty Hunter class, you will need to land three to four consecutive headshots while dodging incoming fire from the riflemen below. Once the heavy gunner is neutralized, switch your focus to the shotgun soldier on the ground floor. He will try to close the distance between you. Back away while firing and use the server racks as mobile cover. The riflemen on the balconies are the least threatening, but they have high accuracy. Clean them up last. Remember to sweep the room for loot after the fight. There is a hidden armor vest located in the far left corner of the server room behind a blinking red terminal. This armor vest is crucial for surviving the next section, so do not leave the room without grabbing it.

How to Complete All Three Bonus Objectives for 100 Percent Completion.

Many Modern Combat 5 players struggle with the bonus objectives in Mission 6 because the game does not provide explicit waypoints for them. For Gilman HQ Part 2, there are three specific optional goals that you must achieve if you want the three star rating and the associated achievement rewards. I will explain each one in detail so you can check them off your list on the first attempt.

The first bonus objective requires you to reach the elevator shaft without triggering the main alarm system. This is the most difficult bonus to achieve because the game is scripted to force a firefight in the server room. To avoid the alarm, you must use completely silent weaponry. Switch to your pistol if it has a silencer attachment, or better yet, use the Recon class which allows for knife takedowns from behind. In the server room, there is a specific patrol route. The first two guards standing near the main terminal must be killed before they have a chance to shout or fire their weapons. If you hear a siren wailing at any point before you reach the double doors at the end of the server room, you have failed this bonus. You will need to restart the checkpoint and try again. The trick is to move slowly and observe the patrol patterns for thirty seconds before engaging.

The second bonus objective is to disable three hovering drones. You will encounter these drones immediately after exiting the server room, just before the external elevator platform. These drones are small, fast, and erratic in their movement patterns. They are equipped with light laser cannons that deal moderate damage but can overwhelm you if you ignore them. The first drone hovers near the ceiling directly above the exit door. Look up immediately upon leaving the server room. The second drone patrols near the glass window on the right side of the corridor. You will see its shadow moving across the floor before you see the drone itself. The third drone appears only after you have destroyed the first two. It emerges from a maintenance hatch on the left wall. To complete this bonus efficiently, use the Assault class with a high rate of fire rifle like the M4A1. Aim slightly ahead of the drone's flight path rather than directly at it. Burst fire is more effective than holding the trigger down because it prevents your weapon from overheating.

The third bonus objective is perhaps the most unforgiving. You must complete the entire Part 2 sequence without your health bar dropping into the critical red zone, which is below twenty five percent of your maximum health. This means you cannot afford to take sustained fire from any enemy. If your screen begins to turn grey around the edges and your character starts breathing heavily, you have failed this bonus. There is a strategy to achieve this safely. Always use cover even when you think the room is clear. Never stand in the open to reload. If you take any damage at all, wait behind cover for at least ten seconds to allow your health to regenerate to full before advancing. If you have the Regen skill equipped on your class, use it the moment your health drops below fifty percent. Do not save your skills for later. The elevator sequence that comes next is incredibly chaotic, so you want to enter that fight with a full health bar.

Surviving the Elevator Ascension and the Hawk Cutscene**

Once you have cleared the server room and disabled the drones, you will proceed to the external elevator platform. This is the most memorable and cinematic section of the entire Modern Combat 5 campaign. The elevator is not an indoor lift. It is a open air platform attached to the outside of the Gilman Tower, ascending dozens of stories with nothing but glass and steel around you. As the elevator begins to rise, the building's automated defense systems will activate. Wave after wave of hover drones will fly past the elevator, firing laser bolts at your position.

This section requires a completely different strategy from the rest of the mission. You cannot take cover because the elevator has no walls, no server racks, and no door frames to hide behind. You must stand in the open and shoot down the drones as they fly by. The challenge is compounded by the fact that the elevator is moving. Your sense of depth perception will be slightly off because the background is scrolling vertically. Focus exclusively on the drones that are actively shooting at you. There will be drones flying far away in the distance that look threatening but cannot hit you. Ignore them. Conserve your ammunition for the three drones that fly close to the elevator cab. These close range drones have a distinct red targeting laser that paints the floor in front of you. When you see that laser, shoot immediately.

Midway through the elevator ascent, a scripted event will occur. A large military grade drone will collide directly with the elevator carriage. The impact shakes the platform violently. Your squadmate Hawk, who has been fighting alongside you since the very first mission, will lose his footing. You will watch in real time as he slips off the edge of the elevator and falls to the streets far below. There is no quick time event to save him. This is a fixed story moment. After the cutscene ends, you will be forced to fight off the remaining drones while processing the loss. Keep your composure. Do not stop shooting. The final wave of drones is smaller but more aggressive. Clear them all, and the elevator will finally stop at the helipad, concluding Gilman HQ Part 2.

Recommended Class and Loadout for Mission 6 Assistance

Choosing the right class for Gilman HQ Part 2 is not a matter of personal preference. It is a strategic decision that directly impacts your success rate. Based on the three distinct phases of this mission the close quarters server room, the precision drone disabling, and the chaotic elevator fight I recommend different classes for different play styles.

For first time players or those playing on Veteran difficulty, the Assault class is the safest and most reliable choice. The assault rifle provides excellent damage output at medium range, which is where ninety percent of this mission takes place. Attach a Red Dot Sight to your rifle for faster target acquisition in the red lit server room. A Foregrip attachment will help control the weapon's recoil during the elevator sequence when you are firing continuously at moving drones. The Assault class also has access to a grenade launcher attachment. Save this grenade launcher specifically for the shotgun soldier on the ground floor of the server room. One direct hit will eliminate him instantly.

For experienced players who have already completed the campaign once and are returning for bonus objectives, the Sniper class is surprisingly effective in Part 2. The server room heavily favors a sniper because of the elevated balconies. You can clear the heavy gunner and both riflemen on the balcony before they even fire a shot. However, the Sniper class performs very poorly during the elevator drone sequence. The sniper scope zooms in too far, making it almost impossible to track the fast moving drones at close range. If you choose the Sniper class for the server room, you must switch to your pistol with a red dot sight for the elevator section. That pistol will become your primary weapon.

The Bounty Hunter class is the best choice for players who want to complete all three bonus objectives in a single run. The Bounty Hunter's special ability highlights all enemies through walls, even the drones before they appear around corners. This gives you a massive tactical advantage in the server room. Additionally, the Bounty Hunter deals increased critical hit damage to enemy weak points. One critical headshot on the heavy gunner will kill him instantly, saving you ammunition. The only downside to the Bounty Hunter is his lower health pool, so you must be more careful about the no critical health bonus objective.

Avoid the Heavy class entirely for this mission. The heavy machine gun takes too long to reload, and the movement speed penalty will prevent you from dodging the shotgun soldier's attacks. The Heavy class is designed for wide open battlefields, not narrow server corridors and moving elevators.

If you found this walkthrough helpful, I encourage you to share it with your squadmates who might also be struggling with Mission 6. Leave a comment below telling me which class you used to beat the elevator sequence. Did you stick with the Assault class for its reliability, or did you take the risky Sniper approach? I read every comment and will do my best to answer any specific questions about enemy spawns or hidden item locations.

MODERN COMBAT 5: BLACKOUT CHAPTER 5: RYOGOKU PART 6 ASSASSINATE WALKTHROUGH

Complete the Assassinate mission in Modern Combat 5 Chapter 5 Ryogoku Campaign mission Part 6 with smart target identification, precise sniping, and efficient execution for maximum rewards.

Hello friends, today  i am playing modern combat 5: blackout.Chapter 5 ; Ryogoku campaign mission part 6: Assassinate. The objective of this mission is eliminate one target

The Assassinate mission in Chapter 5 Ryogoku feels sharper and more demanding compared to earlier chapters. The environment is tighter, enemy positioning is less predictable, and the margin for error is smaller. From my gameplay, this mission tests not just accuracy but how quickly you can read a situation and act with confidence.

Mission Overview

Set in the Ryogoku district, the mission drops you into a dense urban layout with narrow lanes, rooftops, and limited visibility. The objective remains simple on paper: eliminate the target, control the bullet once, and land a headshot. In reality, executing all three together requires composure and timing.

Unlike earlier missions, enemies here are positioned in a way that creates visual overlap. This makes identifying the correct target slightly more challenging, especially when movement is involved.

Understanding the Environment

The Ryogoku setting plays a major role in how this mission unfolds. Buildings block clear sightlines, and enemies often appear partially covered. From my experience, staying zoomed in for too long reduces awareness. It is better to briefly observe the area unscoped before committing to a target.

Lighting and background elements can also affect visibility. Targets may blend into the environment, so quick reactions without proper confirmation can easily lead to mistakes.

Target Identification Approach

At first glance, multiple enemies will appear within your scope. The correct target is marked, but not always instantly obvious. Instead of rushing, let the scope settle and watch for the indicator to confirm the target.

In my gameplay, I noticed that hesitation for a second or two actually improves accuracy. The correct target becomes clearer as movement stabilizes. Shooting too early is the most common reason for failure in this mission.

Sniper Control and Bullet Timing

One of the objectives requires controlling the bullet once, which adds another layer of precision. This means your shot must not only hit but also be properly aligned and timed.

The key here is not speed but control. Adjust your aim smoothly rather than making sudden movements. When the crosshair is steady and aligned at head level, take the shot with confidence.

Mistakes That Can Cost the Mission

A frequent mistake is reacting to the first visible enemy instead of verifying the correct one. This leads to instant failure and forces a restart. Another issue is over-adjusting the scope, which can throw off alignment just before firing.

From my experience, staying calm during the final moment is more important than reacting quickly. A controlled shot is always better than a rushed one.

Mission Completion and Rewards

Once executed correctly, the mission ends instantly with a clean headshot. The completion screen rewards you based on objectives achieved, including experience points and medals. Achieving all three stars requires both precision and discipline.

The rewards in this mission feel satisfying because they reflect both your accuracy and decision-making under pressure. Completing it smoothly also prepares you for more complex missions ahead in Chapter 5.

Modern Combat 5 Chapter 3 Downtown Spec Ops Part 6 Assassinate Mission Walkthrough PC

walkthrough of Modern Combat 5 Chapter 3 Downtown Spec Ops Part 6 Assassinate mission. Watch this video carefully to identify the correct target, avoid mistakes, and complete the mission quickly with a clean headshot.

Mission Overview

If you are stuck on the Assassinate mission in Modern Combat 5 Chapter 3 Downtown Spec Ops Part 6, this guide will help you complete it smoothly and efficiently. This mission is less about eliminating enemies and more about identifying the correct target under pressure while managing time and positioning. You have to act  very fast and check out your target enemy fast and accurate aiming is crucial to accomplish the headshot objective.

From my gameplay experience, the biggest challenge in this mission is shooting quickly and precisely, . Many players fail because they rush and eliminate the wrong enemy, which wastes valuable seconds and can fail the objective. You have to act fact and also aim precisely with sniper rifle. Sniper rifle is a great choice in this situation and in this type of  objective. You have to clear it in 20 seconds to gain all 3 stars.

The objective is to locate a high-value target in a crowded urban environment and eliminate them within a limited time. You are equipped with a sniper rifle, and accuracy plays a critical role. The mission rewards you for completing it quickly and landing a clean headshot.

At the start, the environment appears crowded with multiple enemies moving through narrow streets and rooftops. Not every enemy is your target. The correct target is marked subtly, and you need to observe movement patterns and positioning carefully.

From my experience, it helps to avoid zooming in immediately. Instead, briefly scan the area to understand enemy positions, then use the scope to confirm the target. This reduces confusion and prevents accidental shots.

Once the correct target appears, take a moment to stabilize your aim. The mission gives limited time, but rushing leads to mistakes. A steady aim ensures a clean headshot and immediate completion.

Enemies around the target may distract you, but they are not your priority. Focus only on the marked enemy. Eliminating others wastes time and increases pressure.

One of the most common mistakes is shooting the first visible enemy without confirming the target. This results in an invalid shot and forces you to restart or lose valuable time. Scan the area  and enemy carefully and shoot the right enemy at right time while focusing headshot objective as main objective in your mind

Another mistake is over-scoping for too long. Staying zoomed in reduces awareness of enemy movement and can make it harder to identify the correct target. You have to act fast without getting notcied by another enemy.

When the target is clearly identified, align your crosshair at head level and fire without hesitation. A clean shot ends the mission instantly and rewards you with accuracy-based bonuses and experience points.

.The correct target is finally marked, allowing the player to prepare for a precise elimination.

This walkthrough demonstrates how to complete all objectives in a single run, earning maximum rewards including XP, medals, and unlockables like weapon attachments.

At the start of the mission, use your sniper scope to scan the area carefully. Identifying the target early is the key to success. Avoid wasting time on unnecessary enemies and focus only on threats that block your view.

Once the target is located, aim steadily and go for a precise headshot. Timing is critical here—acting quickly ensures you meet the 20-second objective. After eliminating the target, the mission completes instantly, rewarding you with medals such as Hero and Accurate, along with XP progression.

Modern Combat 5 Chapter 3: Downtown Safe House Defense – Disable 5 Drones & Executioner Medal

"You've made it to the Safe House in Downtown Tokyo, but the Raiders won't let you rest. In Modern Combat 5: Blackout – Chapter 3, your job is simple: disable 5 enemy drones, secure the area, and survive the assault with the KR-200 assault rifle. Here's exactly how I completed the mission with 55% shot accuracy and unlocked the Executioner medal."

Secure the area & disable 5 drones in MC5 Chapter 3. Earn Executioner medal, unlock CTS Scope for Norbok-38, and get +350 XP. Full walkthrough.

Modern Combat 5: Blackout – Chapter 3: Downtown Safe House Defense
Mission Walkthrough & Rewards Breakdown

The Downtown Safe House mission in Modern Combat 5 Blackout is one of the most intense defensive operations in the game. After fighting through the streets of Tokyo, you finally reach the Safe House – but the Raiders have other plans. In this chapter, you must secure the area and disable 5 enemy drones while holding off waves of hostile forces.

In this playthrough, I used the KR-200 assault rifle and achieved:

  • 55% shot accuracy – efficient ammo management under pressure

  • Executioner Medal – eliminated 10 enemies in a single life

  • Mission Complete – all drones disabled, area secured

Rewards Earned

Upon completing the mission, I received:

  • +350 XP toward player level progression

  • +1 SP (Skill Point) for ability upgrades

  • +200 XP bonus from the Executioner medal

Unlockables

The most valuable reward was the CTS Scope for the Norbok-38 sniper rifle. This attachment grants +80 Norbok-38 score, making long-range engagements much more effective in future missions.
